DENTAL TEAMS

VOLUNTEER TEAMS
Holy Cross is a wonderful place for youth and young adults, as well as older teams to experience mission trips. For the school, provide a valuable service, be it doing construction or —doing construction or running vacation bible school or sports camps for the children. But many teams members say it is the opportunity to interact with the children and the way visiting the school changes them that is the most rewarding part of visiting the school.
But it’s not just church teams that find volunteering at the school a rewarding experience. We’ve had some wonderful college teams spend a great alternative spring or summer break at the school too.
The school is open to teams year round (though we do take a few weeks off a Christmas and Easter). If you’d like to find out more about volunteering, then read the documents linked on this page and get in touch with us.

INDIVIDUAL VISITORS
We also welcome volunteers with experience in the following areas to help our children reach their potential.
Tutoring: Anyone with experience in remedial reading or math can make such a difference for a child struggling to read. We accept volunteers from 1 week to several months.
Sewing: We have a sewing center and any one with any sewing skills is welcome to come and share their knowledge.
Construction: Individuals with construction experience are welcome to contact us to see if their skill can be put to good use.
NOTE: All volunteers require approval from the Anglican Diocese of Belize, so allow at least two months for this process. Volunteers that work with students will be required to produce a police background check.
VISITORS AND VOLUNTEERS
Holy Cross School welcomes visitors and volunteer teams. Visiting and working at the school is a very rewarding experience, and there are many ways in which people can contribute. If you're visiting Ambergris Caye, you are welcome to visit the school and take a short tour.
