There are many ways you can support Holy Cross—here are just a few.

Make a Donation
Making regular donations towards the running costs
of the school is the best way you can help. All
donations, small and large, go a long way towards keeping our doors open. As little as $15 per month         will help us feed a child. $360 per year covers the
cost of feeding and educating a child.  Better yet, all donations received via the Holy Cross Education Foundation are eligible for the 501c3 tax deduction.

Stay at a Supporting Hotel
If you’re coming to San Pedro, then think carefully about where you’re going to stay. The following hotels will donate up to 20% of your accommodation costs to Holy Cross School. Important: You must book the hotel direct (not via another travel agent) and you must put in the comments “Referred by Holy Cross, please donate commission to school”.

Scholarships
Providing a high school scholarship is a great way to change a life. Giving a high school education gives a child knowledge, choice and a chance at a much brighter future. These scholarships cover all school fees, text books, uniforms and exam fees. Scholarships start at $750 for the first year of high school. You will receive copies of report cards and are encouraged to correspond with your sponsored student.

Support a Major Project
The school is still growing, and we need funds to support our building projects. These range from classrooms, to green projects like solar power and rainwater collection. Our next project is to build a cistern, which will collect the abundant free rainwater we are blessed with 6 months of the year. This cistern will provide water for the whole school, significantly reducing our utility bills. It will also serve as an emergency community water source in the event of a hurricane.
Donating Supplies
We rely heavily on donated school supplies as the supplies available locally are often expensive and of low quality. Filling a suitcase or backpack with supplies and bringing them down to the school is fun and rewarding. See wish list, and do contact us to find out if there are one off urgent needs. We always need shoes, backpacks, permanent markers, library books, batteries, and general school supplies.
It is also possible to ship items to the school—contact us for more details.
