Have you heard about the food basket program? This program aims to serve up to 100 school families who need food assistance. Currently we are serving 50 families, giving them a food basket every 2 weeks. Each basket has basic food staples such as rice, flour, beans, cooking oil, sugar salt, shortening, corn flakes milk, etc, as well, as some modest cleaning and sanitation supplies.
This program will continue as long there is a need and as long as we can raise funds for it, until we can return to our usual feeding program when school is back in session.
Each basket costs $31 US, and will feed a family of 4 for two weeks. This is a really great way to help families in San Mateo. Click here to help support this program with a donation of any size.

Our lovely kitchen ladies do an incredible job every two weeks preparing the food baskets. This includes shopping, then measuring out bulk supplies into smaller quantities, then checking each bag has everything it needs for the family it will go to. Thank you for your hard work!
