Students relax with Yoga

When the Bliss Out in Belize yoga group visited Belize, they wanted to give something back to the community. So the group volunteered at Holy Cross , teaching our upper division students some important yoga relaxation techniques.

Teaching Yoga

The yoga group taught two separate classes. First was teaching yoga techniques that students could do right at their desk. Next, they made breathing bracelets with the students. These are simple bracelets to remind the students to take a series of long, deep breaths when they feel stressed.

We’d like to thank Shannon Reeder of Iguana Juan’s for bringing the Bliss Out yoga group to help out at Holy Cross.  Iguana Juan’s is the new restaurant on back street, offering thoughtful burgers and killer vegetarian food. It sounds like a great place to visit, relax and enjoy people watching in the real San Pedro.

You can volunteer, too!
