We need your support

The government of Belize pays for our teacher’s salaries, but do not pay any operating costs, or cover the many wonderful things that Holy Cross does for the children of San Pedro – providing access to computers, daily lunches, and providing dental care. Not to mention ongoing maintenance. We wish these things were free to provide but the truth is we can only do this thanks to the donations that we receive from people like you. For each student at the school we need to raise approximately $550 US – we need your help!

Our hope is that by reading this website and taking the time to visit our school and learn more that you too will become one of our loyal supporters and part of the Holy Cross family.

How to Make a Donation

Online: You can donate online  through the Holy Cross Education Foundation, a registered 501(c)3.

Check: Send a check in any currency to Holy Cross Education Foundation, 7550 Corporate Way, Eden Prairie, MN 55344, Attention: Brian Ostenso, Chairman.

In Person: You can also donate at the school office in person or by mailing us at Holy Cross Anglican School at PO Box 59, San Pedro Town, Ambergris Caye, Belize, Central America.

School Supplies

The cost of living in San Pedro is high compared to wages, especially for teachers. There are also some things that we simply cannot get her in Belize. Donating school supplies from our wish list is a great way to help our students and teachers. We also use these items as prizes and rewards and for special events like school fairs and graduation.

Scholarships

Scholarships can change a life! Becoming educated is one of the best ways to come out of poverty, and for boys especially, to stay out of gangs, crime and jail. But knowing an education is important and desiring an education is not always enough to overcome the obstacles.

The easiest obstacle to help someone overcome is the financial one, so please, help us help these students to get a good education.

Volunteer

Mission teams and individuals can make a big difference by volunteering, whether to help with building and maintenance projects or as part of our literacy program. Ambergris Caye is a great place to volunteer as it’s easy to get to, is English speaking and has tourist quality accommodation.
